Coronavirus Updates from Adminstration

March 31, 2020

Dear CT Aero and Stratford Students:

As you know, our schools are now closed until at least April 20, 2020, due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Due to the importance of your education and profession, we have we have temporarily suspended normal operations at CT Aero Tech and the Stratford School for Aviation Maintenance Technicians until such time as we can safely return to the schools.

Again, in order to keep your content knowledge fresh, your instructors will be posting learning materials to Google Classroom. It is important to note that at this time, the online learning cannot count for program hours while we are in suspended mode. However, it can be an important tool for your success when testing. I know this is a challenging time, and many of you may have other obligations and possible time frame issues. Feel free to contact the staff, or me, with any concerns you may have. It is my hope that we return to on site programming as soon as possible. However, when it comes time to taking the FAA examinations, the work that you put in now will make a profound difference in your success. In addition, the work our staff is putting in developing an online platform will enhance the program moving forward. You are all integral to that process.

Some of you may be wondering how this closure will impact the June graduating class. As of today, it is too early to tell if we will have to substantially delay the graduation date. Be assured, if that becomes a reality, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Again, if you do not have a Chromebook, or need assistance, please email your instructors, or contact me at, or call 860-584-8433 Ext 304. Also, Todd Saint Louis will be at Aero Tech (860-566-1234) intermittently and can assist with Chromebook distribution. Melissa Chop is available at SSAMT (203- 381-9250) for Chromebook distribution if required. Please call ahead. I will continue to share information as I receive it. Please be patient as we navigate this unprecedented time together.

Most of all, I wish that you and your loved ones remain safe through these trying times.

Mr. Zito
